Connect with Autism News, Resources, & Supports in Nashua, New Hampshire
I received this email below and thought I would share if anyone is interested you can contact Ms. McLean. Here information is below.
Dear Ms. Abbott,
My name is Rebecca McLean, and I am both a doctoral student at Suffolk University. I am completing a research study on children with and without Autism Spectrum Disorders (including Asperger’s) in Nashua, NH as part of my Ph.D. training in clinical psychology. This research has been approved by the Suffolk University Institutional Review Board. In this study I will use pencil and paper and computer tests as well as questionnaires and tasks involving responding to pictures to study attention in children with and without Autism Spectrum Disorders. I hope that this information will lead to a better understanding of attention in ASD and in the future the development of better methods for educating individuals with ASD. The study will take one to one and a half hours and children who participate will receive a toy or Toys R Us gift card, both valued at ten dollars. I am wondering if you would allow me to come to one of your meetings to talk to parents about my study and to hand out my recruitment flier (see attached) so that they can contact me if they are interested in having their children participate, or have you hand them out without me if that would be more comfortable for your group members. If you have any questions about this study or would like to discuss it further please contact me at 603-361-2064 or rladams@suffolk.edu. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Rebecca McLean
