Hi there!

I have a very silly question and I am mad that I don't know the answer....cause I should. I have a 3 yr old and wanted to know if school evals should happen yearly? Someone told me every 3 yrs which is crazy because from 3-6 yrs so much can change.

Thank you!!!

Hi,

The information you received is correct.

I found this statement at, http://www.nhspecialed.org/evaluation.shtml, the website is a great resource.

Children with disabilities are formally reevaluated at least every 3 years. Parents or other team members may request a reevaluation more frequently or if conditions warrant, but generally re-evaluations can not occur more than once a year.

I hope this was helpful,

Noel
