Autism support group in Merrimack

Hi Everybody. I have posted before about wanting to start a support group. I have talked with the library in Merrimack and we can hold the meetings there, but the rooms have to be booked. Please respond by telling me if you are interested in joining this group, and when you are available.  The best time for me would be in the mornings, monday through Thursday, my son (the Autistic one) is in Kindergarten during that time, so the best time for me would be say 9-10:30 am.  You would not have to…See More

how to tell child about Pets going to heaven

We just found out that we have to have one of our furry friends, (a cat) put to sleep, not going to be done probably for a couple weeks or so. My concern is how to tell the children, biggest concern is for the Autistic one. (though i do have a 3 year old too) we will not be telling them before hand (Autistic child is almost 6) because he will freak, he is very very sensitive and emotional and very very very attached to the cat. telling him he has to say goodbye that the cat will be going to…See More

I think it will help however, I would like it if I could find a store that sells them to I can check it out, how heavy it feels, and how big it is before I buy one.  does anyone know of any stores in NH (southern NH) that sells them, I don't want to order one online because then I can't check it out first.  They are expensive and I…See More

Merrimack Support group for Autistic children

Hi All! I have posted this before, I am trying to set up a support group in Merrimack for parents of Autistic children. I am going to be booking a room at the Merrimack Public Library, I am aiming during the morning hours, unless someone thinks of a better time . For me morning is best when my Autistic son is at school, then I only have 2 kids with me instead of 3.  I am also trying to think of someone who can come in for the first meeting as a speaker, someone with a lot of knowledge of Autism…See More
